Throughout the past two years, COVID-19 has severely impacted every industry, including ongoing financial burden. In effort to aid health care providers who have suffered revenue loss and additional expenses (related to COVID-19), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently announced a $25.5 billion fund. The application portal opens on September 29, 2021, with two relief funds:
- American Rescue Plan Rural which will provide $8.5 billion for providers serving rural Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program, or Medicare patients.
- Provider Relief Fund Phase Four will provide $17 billion to a wide range of health care providers who can prove revenue loss or additional expenses incurred due to the pandemic between July 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021. This fund will focus on providing relief to smaller providers.
